Clearly First names supermodel Vendela as official spokesperson
New York—Clearly First, a Manhattan showroom that features Scandinavian fashions, home accessories and gift items, has named supermodel Vendela Kirsebom Thomessen as its official spokesperson.
The Swedish-born, Norwegian-raised model, largely known in the modeling world by her first name only, will be featured in advertising creative for Sjoo Sandstrom, the Stockholm, Sweden-based manufacturer of high-performance timepieces, which are exclusive to Clearly First in the United States.
“Vendela’s beauty and sophistication are known around the world, and her Scandinavian background and values resonate perfectly with the Clearly First point of view,” Clearly First president and chief executive officer Helene Hellsten said in a statement.

Audemars Piguet watch honors America’s Cup champs
Le Brassus, Switzerland—Audemars Piguet has unveiled a new timepiece in recognition of the fifth year of the brand’s sponsorship of the Swiss Alinghi yachting team.
The limited-edition Royal Oak Offshore Alinghi Team Chronograph is made of a lightweight forged carbon using a process borrowed from the aeronautics industry. The watch is shock-resistant and water-resistant up to 100 meters, has a flyback chronograph function and a 10-minute countdown function made for the 11-minute America’s Cup race-start rule.
The timepiece comes in either forged carbon, in pink gold and carbon, and in platinum and carbon.
