After its 2001 launch, the collection makes a powerful new surge with a new Dual Ulysse double-impulse escapement enabling the balance to beat at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour. The two wheels making up the central part of this new escapement comprise 18 active teeth, conducive to enhanced energy flow. The winding mechanism on the case-back is stabilised by means of a ball-bearing mechanism, thus reducing friction and facilitating supple winding of the barrel.
