James Doran ("Jim") Mix, a veteran Sterling Jewelers executive, passed away April 8, 2007, in Cleveland, following a year long battle with multiple myeloma. He was 71.
Mix's career spanned 27 years with Sterling. He served in virtually every district in the country as vice president of Regional Operations. He began his career with Sterling in 1980 as vice president of Store Operations.
"Although he impacted Sterling’s Home Office in so many ways, his loss will certainly be felt around the country," the company said in a statement.
