‘McDreamy’ gives JeanRichard star treatment

La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland—Actor Patrick Dempsey, who recently played a modern-day prince charming in the film Enchanted, and is best known to TV viewers as “Dr. McDreamy” on the hit show Grey’s Anatomy, will be back on the big screen in the upcoming comedy Made of Honor.

Sharing screen time with Dempsey as his character finds a way to win back the girl of his dreams is a tourbillon from Swiss watch brand JeanRichard.

In the film, Dempsey plays Tom Bailey, a New York playboy who realizes he has fallen in love with his longtime best friend, just as she has gotten engaged to another man. As Bailey counts down the minutes until the wedding, he dons JeanRichard’s “Grand Tourbillon TV Screen,” an accessory that matches his bold, sophisticated lifestyle.

Hand-engraved with an intricate guilloché design, the watch is modeled after the TV sets of the 1940s, and features a solid 18-karat white gold case complemented by a handmade alligator strap. The defining feature of the watch is its tourbillon, a mechanism valued by watch enthusiasts for its complexity and exclusivity.

Made of Honor and the Grand Tourbillon TV Screen will hit theaters in May 2008.
